Robin Van Horne Trunk Show

Join us for our first Trunk Show! For First Friday in June, Robin Van Horne will be joining us direct from Atlanta, Georgia to share her new designs!

Robin works with Art Clay Silver or precious metal which is comprised of recycled/reclaimed silver sources. She uses found objects and plants to create her molds and the unique pieces she produces. Her representation of the natural world highlights it's fragile beauty in the hope to increase awareness leading to conservation of a healthy environment.

Robin holds a B.A. form William Smith College, an M.A.T. from Emory University, and became a certified instructor in Art Clay Silver in 2013.

Tin Types at Tin Top

We are so happy to have the work of Sam Davis for May & June! We are showing a collection of his tin types and other works. Come check it out!

Originally from Pensacola, Florida Sam Davis received his BFA from the University of Florida in Creative Photography and an MFA in Photography and Sculpture from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  Sam creates images that reference his love of family history (his father had once been a participant in an atomic test during the 1950’s, while other family members worked on the first submarines during the civil war) coupled with a playful curiosity of popular and kitsch culture. His images combine obscure technology, science fiction and childhood fantasy to call into question notions regarding memory, nostalgia, imagination and pulp/cyber folklore. Davis creates images that he hopes will cause the viewer to pause and question while at the same time provide a pathway for the viewer into another frame of thought-to proactively imagine. Sam Davis has worked as a Graphic Artist for WSRE-TV in Pensacola, as a studio assistant for Jerry Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor and for the past six years as full-time instructor of Photography at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California. While not teaching he actively exhibits artwork across the United States and abroad. Sam is currently visiting professor of photography at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.
